CONSULT & DESIGN
Consultancy is the basis of the business and is at the centre of everything that I do. By developing a mutual understanding between myself and the client, designs and concepts plans are produced. This enables the final design of your garden to capture your personal inputs alongside my creativity and over 30 years experience within the landscape design sector.
Having spent time on site with the client - discovering personal preferences, getting an understanding of the home and the requirements of the household, ideas can be formulated. Once the initial layout scheme is agreed upon, working drawings are prepared if required. From sketches to full detailed plans, working drawings and planting plans - all options are catered for.
MANAGE & CREATE
Planning before construction is the key - logistics are a key component to creating a garden and I offer a project management option to enable a smooth-running scheme. By overseeing contractors, material sourcing and purchase, as well as trouble shooting, I give a knowledgeable, personal and approachable service. This ensures the end result is to your complete satisfaction.
The building of a designed garden is a highly specialised process and I work closely with teams of landscapers, specialist pavers, stonemasons and garden nurseries to realise my schemes. By being regularly on site, glitches in the detail of the design tend to be caught early and are overcome quickly - vital to success and cost.
ABOUT ME
Every garden and landscape I design is unique - my objective is to design gardens that are perfectly suited to the personality and aspirations of my clients.
After qualifying from the Inchbald Garden Design School in 1990, I worked in various design departments in specialist plant nurseries. In 1994 is set up my own garden design practise, specialising in private gardens. With professional qualifications and over 30 years in the garden and landscape design sector, I offer a wealth of experience, knowledge and creativity to your project.
From my design studio on the Welsh borders in the North West of England I have created gardens all across the UK and am ideally placed to design and implement enduring and inspiring landscapes throughout the UK and beyond.
