- My aim is to distil information, input my personal thoughts and observations and above all else create a garden or landscape that is perfectly suited to the personality, wants and needs of my client, wherever they may live.
- The design of a garden is about sensitivity and skill, passion and vision. A garden should be both comfortable and enduring, these are my intentions and targets and I aim to give you both.
- Consultancy is the basis of the business and at the centre of everything that is done. Getting to know my clients by talking and discussing all manner of subjects, not just gardens are a vitally important element to the design process.
- The creation of a garden is very much a two way process and gathering the right information is a vital part of the design process. I am always aware of the clients wants and realize that it is not ‘my’ garden but one that is designed by me for the client to live with and enjoy.
- In a ‘new build’ situation I am more than happy to work with you and your architect in the initial outline stages so that your house, garden and landscape blend together beautifully.
- Plans can be prepared from an initial sketch proposal right through to finished working drawings. Once the layout scheme is completed and agreed I can then prepare full planting layouts that take into account your personal preferences, soil type and location.
- I feel that my designs are a combination of modern form with traditional planting molded together to give a vibrant and inspiring combination.
